CELEBRATE Father’s Day in style as the annual Love Loughborough Car Show is returning to the town centre.

Love Loughborough has once again teamed up with local car club Charnwood Cruisers to bring the much-loved annual show to the town centre on Sunday, June 18.

The town centre will be taken over with Hot Rods, Customs, Race Cars, Choppers, Classic Scooters, buses and more than 20 Land Rovers.

The show is free – even the parking is at council-owned car parks, excluding Browns Lane.

Local businesses will also be open including shops, cafes, restaurants and bars.

The event this year so far has more than 130 vehicles registered, and this year there will be a Bond Bug, a Ward La France Fire Engine plus Soap Box Racers.

There will be live entertainment from Ska-Amanga band plus fairground rides for all the family.

The Loughborough Car Show is brought to you by Love Loughborough, Charnwood Cruisers and Nicholas Humphreys Charity Foundation who is supporting the stage in the town centre.

Love Loughborough BID support manager, Nichola Gaffney, told the Echo: “It is going to be a fantastic day with fun for all the family, we’ve got a fantastic selection of vehicles registered and fingers crossed that the weather holds out for a lovely day too.

“There is so much to do in the town centre, and people will just be able to have a wander around and look at all the brilliant cars and then be able to enjoy a spot of lunch or some shopping or go for a drink in one of the bars or restaurants.

“It really is going to be another fantastic event and I’m really looking forward to it.”
