Classic Austin Mini Cooper Reviews Buying Guide Parts And Service Advice

The Classic Mini is a legend amongst enthusiast’s and the general public alike, there are not many people who dont smile as one passes by. The launch of the modern BMW Mini only serves to show just how perfectly proportioned the original Mini was.

Sat next to the classic Mini the modern one looks like the relative who you know ate all the pies!

As a classic car choice they are fantastic. they are also an excellent way to learn how to work on your classic car yourself. being so small any task is just easier and with the staggering number of parts suppliers and aftermarket parts available they are a joy to restore and personalise.

Which one would be right for you? Well the old adage of buy the best one you can is still true but given there have been so many models and body shapes available over the years you could get a much better condition less fancy one than a slightly tired Mini Cooper.

You can they get all the bits your heart desires to make yours look just the same and with a few bolt on tuning parts it will go almost as fast.

The best way to get into the Classic Mini scene is to join the owners club first and get to know the forums and the regular posters as they will gladly help you with whatever questions you might have. Then get yourself off to a few Mini shows, there are lots of them and chat to the owners. Chances are there will be some for sale and if they are part of the show scene you have a slightly better chance of it being a nice one.
